Macro Free Range Yellow Box Honey and Rosemary Chicken Kebabs

I always avoid buying any meat that has been marinated or is in some type of sauce as it is highly likely that the sauce contains a form of MSG to enhance the taste and flavour. However, a few weeks ago I bought Macro Free Range Yellow Box Honey & Rosemary chicken kebabs. Not only did I need something very quick to cook for dinner that night but I had never seen such a product in this range. I wanted to investigate the product for my blog- hoping that it would be safe & an item I could promote as I regard the Macro brand name to be one which produces some high quality products.

When I arrived home I put the label under a magnifying light (the list of ingredients was very small!). Unfortunately, there is 6% yellow box honey powder (not real honey) & to make it worse this powder contains corn maltodextrin, & maltodextrin (both are forms of MSG).Natural flavour (MSG) is 5th last; but at least there were 2 natural ingredients- turmeric & paprika, 2nd last on the list.

Other products in this range are excellent- chicken breast, chicken thighs, lovely legs, whole chicken & chicken mince. I am yet to check out the sausages!
